Quick calculators for landscape projects plus reference tables including cinder block walls, vehicle clearance heights and native plant spacing guidelines with planting depth.
Enter length, width, and depth to calculate cubic yards of coverage. Results update as you type.

Weights are approximate industry averages. Actual weight varies with moisture content (mulch), stone type, and supplier. Use these figures for planning and ordering — not for truck load limits without verifying with your supplier.
Enter driveway length in linear feet, width in feet, and gravel depth to estimate cubic yards and tonnage.

Select common landscape lighting voltage and wire gauge. Enter the one-way run length and total fixture wattage to estimate voltage delivered at the end of the run.
Results are estimates. Connections, temperature, and fixture characteristics affect real-world performance.
Plan one irrigation zone at a time. Enter your available flow, choose Hunter-style nozzles (MP Rotators recommended), and see how many heads you can safely run without exceeding capacity.
Inspired by the Hunter Sprinkler Zone Calculator. Data approximate; verify with actual site conditions and Hunter charts.
From water source or pipe calc
MP Rotators prefer 40 PSI (use regulation)
Add different arcs or types to mix in one zone. Qty starts at 1; edit below.
Choose a common cinder block (CMU) size, enter wall length and height (or courses). Calculates quantity needed plus approximate Home Depot retail pricing for the blocks.
Prices are approximate Home Depot retail (see data/cinder-blocks.json). Mortar estimate shown separately below. Does not include rebar/grout for reinforced walls, delivery, tax, or labor.
Approximate for 3/8" joints (adjusted for block height). Uses recommended block quantity + waste. Add for core filling/grout if required.
Grout volume based on selected reinforcement pattern. Vertical rebar count uses actual wall courses × vertical positions (not waste-adjusted block count). Uses 10 ft #4 sticks when bar length ≤ 10 ft (incl. embed + top), otherwise 20 ft. Includes 5% waste on length. One bar per grouted cell/line. Does not include horizontal bond beams.
Approximate using recommended quantities + waste. Grout at 140 pcf, #4 rebar at 0.668 lb/ft. Mortar uses 80 lb per bag.
For running bond walls you will typically need a few half blocks or cuts at the ends. Results assume a straight solid wall with no openings or returns.
